A mission to revive footbag in Czech Republic

It would be very sad, if the sport of footbag would disappear from the list of growing sports and end up as others which didn't succeed to find enough enthusiasts. The heads of CFA have been working intensely for the past weeks on a plan to revive and revitalize the association. Only time will tell, if our revolutionary idea will bring sweet fruits of success and will change the course of history by bringing revolution to the development of modern sports.

kenya_jumpsThe chieftain of CFA, Jan Dexter Strup, has set out on a long journey with a clear goal in mind. We have been keeping thisinformation in secret until now. But to those, who'd noticed Dexter's planned trip, must have been clear, that something big is setting in motion. We can give you the truth now. It's not a "normal" one-month tourist trip, which Dexter commented in his own way: "I got a cheap ticket, so I'm just going to check it out. They have cheap meat, ketal."

The governor of the Republic of Kenya has formally contacted all registered associations with a favor, which was so tempting to us, that we simply couldn't afford to ignore it. With the whole economy struck hard by the crisis, it is not easy to find solutions. Especially in the developing countries, which still tackle the same basic problems - vast majority of socially weak citizens, high crime rates, unstable government, etc. The representative of this east-african country has therefore asked for help with transferring a substantial sum, which would free a considerable amount of funds from the shackels of bureaucracy inevitably originating from the old-fashioned government in Kenya.

We have embraced this plea and came victorious in the competition of tens of other organizations. We owe this, as the governor puts it, to "The transparent management of your association, the high level of activity and agility of the top CFA members and last but not least the amazing web presentation, especially the gallery which captivated me immediately"

It seem, we may be just a small step away from the end of the footbag fasting. The funds, which will be raised by this mutually helpful partnership, will be invested into further development and a unprecedented nation wide campaign. The preparations will require the help of all current members and friends of footbag. For now we can only wait for the results of the negotiations between the CFA and the Republic of Kenya.

kenya_kidsOne piquancy worth mentioning is the length of Dexter's stay in this very attractive country. Due to the sudden decision and the rapid development of our mutual relations, we weren't able to book the flight back earlier than end of April. But as we all know our chieftain is well known by his improvisation and survival skills in completely foreign environments. A vital and integral part of his "vacation" will be the constant propagation of our association among the local native inhabitants. He will also organize several events to spread the public awareness of footbag in this mostly interesting country.

Dexter promised to send in regular detailed reports and we will hope to publish them online, here on footbag.cz, so that we all can share the nice and warm feeling of hope, which could and should turn into reality.
