(in no particular order):
- The architecture of Prague. Incredible!
- Competing in 4 events all on the same day – with shred sessions in between!
- Meeting Honza’s parents at their house – that was an awesome meal!
- Seeing Honza’s infamous shred court from Art of Game and recent vids
- Vasek’s first response to me wearing Quantums – “Are you crazy?” Haha.
- Finding out that Czech Easter traditions involve hitting people with frilly sticks and pouring water on people. What the…
- Winning 1st place in Open Routine (first time winning the routine event!)
- Vasek kicking my ass in arm wrestling the night of the competition
- Seeing Honza’s footbag medals in his apartment. At least 30!!
- Going to get a McDonalds with the Swiss Crew and ordering the Swiss King sandwich. They don’t have it in Switzerland. Hehe
- Shredding with Olaf (he’s good).
- Beating Steve in a hack-off. Only once, but still!!
- Getting fined 500 crowns for not having a subway ticket. Crap!
- Learning that the Czech diet is ALL meat! Sometimes 3 different kinds all in the same serving!
- Steve’s “blue claw”. Well, you had to be there.
- That dinner during competition night!! Sooooooo good – must’ve had 5 helpings.
- Tomas’ concerns about ‘heat-up’ and ‘psychostress’ – I nearly died laughing. It was an inside joke for the duration of the week. Crazy style!
- Steve’s fake Italian accent at the Czech Italian restaurant. Defiitely didn’t help. The waiter was so confused. Hahaha
- Taking the typical tourist route in the Centre with Honza and seeing all the ridiculous souvenirs for sale
- On the way to shred, asking Honza and Vasek if they ever get stopped in the street for autographs. They laughed.
- Dexter being super cool and friendly throughout the week
- Honza saying “F***ing women drivers!” a lot while driving. Upon passing, the driver always ended up being a man. Hehe
- Seeing footage from past Todexons where nobody planned their routine. 10 drops was pretty much the standard.
- Watching Vasek hit barraging PS flux at the event site. My god…..
- Hitting at least two of my attempts in Sick1 and Sick 3. Whew!
- Finding out Czechs have different words than ours for animal sounds
- Playing 4-square in the near-dark with a dark bag.
- Vasek hitting his winning Sick1 trick at THE END of his Sick 3. Insane!
- Hitting barraging royale for the first time.
- Learning how to make sushi from Klara (Honza’s gf)
- Modding camo G-Units at the event site and some players staring at them in astonishment. Hehe
- Seeing footage of the first time that Ryan played with Vasek. Epic for sure.
- Vasek saying to me “I didn’t know they counted da da curves in shred 30” and proceeded to hit multiple variations in his shred 30
- Jakob Wagner requesting 11, 12, and 13 add moves for me to hit. (Hehe, don’t worry dude, I’ll hit symposium furious butterfly symposium twirling blender some day)
- Getting a beauuutiful glass trophy for winning routines. You guys went all out!
- Taking a tour of Charles bridge with Honza (that’s real gold…!!)
- Watching footage of the Dictators performing at a big Sports Exhibition
- The lights going out during my finals routine. Uhh….
- Going down a ridiculous escalator in the subway. Almost a 60 degree angle, 20 stories down and crazy fast! Had to hold on for dear life.
- Getting a Czech TV guide in my prize bag with an article on Vasek! Cool.
- Top 4 Sick 1s: 3 8-add moves and one 7-add!!
- Eating this crazy cereal called Choco-Krispies. It’s chocolate-wafer straws where you suck the milk then eat the straw!
- A lot of Czech people carry around handkerchiefs instead of tissues. Weird.
- The Czech Republic has fully adopted the metric system. Weigh themselves only in kilos and height in centimeters. Sweet!
- Steve’s story about the women in France…had to be there.
- Seeing Lise and Jana again. Cool chicks!
- Finding out that several BAP players aren’t really shredding anymore (Kreil/Jani/Reese). That suuucks!
- Honza not realizing Prague airport has 2 terminals and he waited for me to arrive at the wrong one. Hehe
- Hearing that Vasek is an actual professional footbagger (it’s his job). Hell yeah!
- Going up the escarpment with Honza/Klara, Ales/Hania + Swiss crew but missing the whole purpose of the walk – to see the sunset. Oh well.
- Tomas and Dexter saying that they made the right choice in choosing me as the special guest. I am truly honoured – thank you so much!!!
